Monday’s media, Australian coffee and the Bugle: daily round-up in 165 words

A day that began with accidentally sourcing Australian coffee in Brighton (an excellent flat white took me right back to a summer spent in Surry Hills). While things got dicey in Iceland, I checked out today’s powerlist of the most influential black people in the UK and wasted time deciding if the logistics will work for the Digital Publishing Conference & Expo in Amsterdam next week. Mondays are always much media fun: the weekend papers and the morning’s media sections to catch up on, as well as Dispatches and Panorama on TV. Tonight, however, it’s been about University Challenge and now Bruce Parry.  I’ve just tried to read the Bugle at Times Online at my little brother’s recommendation. Maybe it will grow on me. But I do like the fact that the Bugle’s fee for the column has been donated the ‘The Economy’: ‘If you would like to donate to The Economy, please visit a local retailer and buy an unnecessarily large quantity of something.’
